Neondog82: Yeah, I think we’re on the same page about costing out the benefit to not wasting additional time watching stuff you don’t want to. Great link too – thanks so much! Haven’t used TVersity but have looked at it a couple of times – anyone a TVersity user that can let us know what they think of it?

anony mouse: It’s true, anony, we shouldn’t ignore over-the-air content, but I can’t say I’d be the best one to ask about that. Halifax isn’t that big a city and it’s far enough away from any major broadcasting centers that I don’t get a lot of options over-the-air (but that doesn’t mean other readers won’t!). Thanks for the link.

Just a suggestion. Cutting the cable doesn’t mean having to do all your TV watching via online methods – how about covering good old antenna reception? It’s an interesting topic with the digital switchover and HDTV.. How to get free over the air signals in this digital and HDTV landscape.. Great episode. I like the cost analysis. I look at it a little differently. In today’s fast paced world we have to to execute thing intentionally. What I mean is I will sit down and open hulu to watch Prison Break intentionally. What I don’t do is sit there and mindlessly watch TV all day. One cost more than the other too. I am getting rid of my cable once my contract is up. Depending how you look at it you don’t have to pay for any content to watch most of it legally. It just depends on how savy you are with a computer. Again, awesome job…looking forward to what comes next.
